Corey & I stopped by Sandra & Lance's new Fish & Chips and Burger Bar and sampled two of their creations. Sandra, from Canada, and Lance, an Aussie who has spent 12 years in North America are serving a fusion of 'aussie' and 'american' burgers. While having a North American influence, still have a fair bit of Aussie about them, such as the grilled pineapple and beetroot. The works burger was about 140cm high, filled with a flame grilled beef pattie (their own secret receipe with 8 different spices), grilled beetroot & pineapple, tomato, amazing pickles, jack cheese and finished off with delightful onion rings and a touch of their own aioli sauce. All of this stacked in a nice firm bun, not your normal soggy pure white style. A wonderful blend of flavours and a challenge to get your mouth around for sure, but worth it.
