Sunshine Thai is named after the owner and chef Khun Sunshine. Khun Sunshine came with her family from New Zealand and started this well known and respected restaurant over 12 years ago. Originally from the north eastern Thai province of Isaan, she migrated to New Zealand and ran a successful Thai restaurant with her sister.
Khun Sunshine's son, Danny now runs the front of house and is bringing new ideas into the business, like live South American music on Friday nights.
